The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is looking to buy over 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition in the next four years for “law enforcement and training purposes”. The purchase of this outrageous amount of ammunition (about 5 bullets for each and every American) is causing many observers to worry about the direction of law enforcement in the United States .
According to a Forbes article entitled 1.6 Billion Rounds Of Ammo For Homeland Security? It’s Time For A National Conversation:
“Some of this purchase order is for hollow-point rounds, forbidden by international law for use in war, along with a frightening amount specialized for snipers.”
The article also points out that:
“At the height of the Iraq War the Army was expending less than 6 million rounds a month. Therefore 1.6 billion rounds would be enough to sustain a hot war for 20+ years. In America.”
Yes, 1.6 billion rounds is enough to sustain a war in America for more than 20 years. And all of this ammunition will go to law enforcement - to be used in America, against Americans.
Relevant fact: While 1.6 billion rounds are being purchased by the DHS, gun shops across America are reporting a “massive ammunition shortage” – meaning that it is becoming increasingly difficult for Americans to purchase guns and ammo . In short, in this post-Sandy Hook era, the general population is being stripped of its weapons while the U.S. Government is stockpiling an incredible amount of it. There’s a noticeable shift going on here. Continue Reading

(NaturalNews) In yet another huge blow to the rhetoric and narrative of the Obama administration and its desire to disarm the American public, a DHS bid has been uncovered (see documents below) showing that the Department of Homeland Security recently put out an offer to purchase 7,000 full-auto “assault weapons” to be used domestically, inside the USA.
Keep in mind that President Obama is on the record saying, “AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not in the hands of criminals; that they belong on the battlefield of war, not on the streets of our cities.”
But it seems he really means they don’t belong on the streets of our cities unless they are in the hands of homeland security enforcers, in which case they can be FULL-AUTO assault weapons.
In the hands of the government, they’re called “Personal Defense Weapons”
The juiciest part of this bid is the use of the phrase “Personal Defense Weapons” to describe the full-auto AR-15s being purchased by DHS.
Apparently, when YOU hold an AR-15, it’s an “assault rifle.” But magically, if you hand that same rifle to an armed government homeland security enforcer, it instantly transforms itself into a “personal defense weapon.”
The request for bid actually says: Continue Reading

The latest announcement of recording capabilities being installed in American buses via their already invasive CCTV cameras has me hopping mad. It’s just sick. Yet the most astounding thing is the vast majority will swallow it as a needed feature to help fight terrorism.
After all, they have nothing to hide. They’re not doing diddly squat to stand up to anything, and have no intention to. “Obey..Obey” is what they hear.
Every possible 1984ish scenario immediately jumps into your mind as the slow mo intro of all this techno mumbo jumbo is laid on a naive and unsuspecting, weakened public.

(NaturalNews) As lawmakers wax poetic and jockey for political position ahead of the pending “fiscal cliff,” a package of automatic tax hikes and spending cuts coming Jan. 1 that many economists believe could rekindle the crippling recession of 2008-09, few of them are talking about the fact that the federal government continues to spend money on foolish, wasteful projects that contribute nothing to the “general welfare,” but instead go a long way towards speeding the country’s bankruptcy.
That the nation has a spending problem, not a revenue problem, is epitomized by the fact that our government now borrows 46 cents of every dollar it spends, creating a massive $16-plus trillion deficit that will have to be repaid by our children, grandchildren and, most likely, our great grandchildren.
And yet, too few federal bureaucrats give a second thought to the impact foolish spending decisions have on the nation’s fiscal health – let alone show any remorse for wasting the taxpayer’s money.
DHS is but one example, albeit a huge one, of federal spending run amok
The Department of Homeland Security is a case study in point. As detailed by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., a physician by trade, the mammoth agency primarily charged with making Americans safer from potential terrorist attacks has spent billions in taxpayer money to accomplish little toward its stated goal.
Some of DHS’ most outrageous taxpayer abuses have been singled out by Coburn, who – along with Senate colleague Rand Paul from Kentucky – has become one of Congress’ leading wasteful spending whistleblowers. Here are some of the most egregious: Continue Reading
The US department of Homeland Security has commissioned a one-year contract to investigate the efficacy of using social networks to identify instances of bioterrorism, pandemics and other health and security risks.
It is paying Accenture Federal Services $3 million (£1.8 million) to scan the networks’ for key words in real time to see if growing threats or health trends can be distinguished. So if an individual flags up a nasty cough in a Facebook update, for instance, the software will be looking to see if key medical terminology is repeated in connected groups or from other individuals posting from the same location.
“This is big data analytics,” said John Matchette, managing director for Accenture’s public safety department, who admits the technique is yet to be proven. “In theory, social media analytics would have shown timely indicators for multiple past biological and health-related events.” Mobile data mapping has been used in the past to track and predict population movements following natural disasters and algorithms can use data to track disease hotspotsafter the event. However, this latest experiment could provide real time information to help stem disease spread, develop early warning systems and help emergency services coordinate react in a timely fashion
According to a company statement from Accenture, the software will constantly scan blogs, as well as the usual outlets, but not all networks and channels have been decided upon. It’s no surprise that national security departments monitor social networks to look out for threats (Paul Chambers’ arrest after a tongue-in-cheek faux bomb tweet threat being a perfect example of when that monitoring goes very wrong), however Homeland Security is already being sued by civil liberties group Electronic Privacy Information Centre and is under pressure to answer questions about setting up fake social networking accounts to search for key words such as “virus” and “trojan”. The department has been accused of violating the public’s free speech and constitutional protections against unreasonable searches. No one would disagree there needs to be better systems in place to monitor and protect against the spread of infectious disease, however how data is monitored to do this has come under fire.
Government Shares Drones with Law Enforcement Agencies Across the Country
San Francisco – The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) filed suit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Tuesday, demanding answers about how and why it loans out its Predator drones to other law enforcement agencies across the country.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) – a division of DHS – uses the unmanned drones inside the U.S. to patrol the borders with surveillance equipment like video cameras, infrared cameras, heat sensors, and radar. But recent news articles as well as a report from DHS itself show CBP is expanding its surveillance work, flying Predator drone missions on behalf of a diverse group of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies – including a county sheriff’s department in North Dakota, the Texas Rangers, the Bureau of Land Management, and the Department of Defense.
EFF filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request asking for more information about these drone flights, but DHS has yet to respond to the request.
EFF’s lawsuit asks for an immediate response, including records and logs of CBP drone flights conducted in conjunction with other agencies.
“We’ve seen bits and pieces of information on CBP’s Predator drones, but Americans deserve the full story,” said EFF Staff Attorney Jennifer Lynch. “Drones are a powerful surveillance tool that can be used to gather extensive data about you and your activities. The public needs to know more about how and why these Predator drones are being used to watch U.S. citizens.” Continue Reading
The manufactured threat of terrorism has once again been used to push what would otherwise be unthinkable. In this case, the United Nations is exploiting the irrational fear of terrorism to justify international internet surveillance.
In a new 148-page UN report released at a conference in Vienna entitled “The Use of the Internet for Terrorist Purposes” the UN claimed that the lack of an “internationally agreed framework for retention of data” is problematic along with open wireless internet networks in public places.
The UN claims that terrorists are utilizing social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to spread what they call “propaganda.” This perspective is somewhat similar to that presented by groups like the Homeland Security Policy Institute in claiming that a major threat is the “spread of the [terrorist] entity’s narrative.”
This notion is quite dangerous because the nature of this “propaganda” or “narrative” is never clearly outlined. Instead, the door is left open to call anything and everything that is different from the manufactured government account of various events “propaganda” or something which spreads the enemy’s “narrative.”
“Potential terrorists use advanced communications technology often involving the Internet to reach a worldwide audience with relative anonymity and at a low cost,” said Yury Fedotov, the executive director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The report draws some apparently unwarranted conclusions, such as that “one of the major problems confronting all law enforcement agencies is the lack of an internationally agreed framework for retention of data held by ISPs.” Continue Reading

Twitter has released a report confirming that the US government leads the world in requesting information on their citizens. The Transparency Report shows the US government has made requests that are infringing on American privacy rights.
Twitter states that “we’ve received more government requests in the first half of 2012, as outlined in this initial dataset, than in the entirety of 2011.”
As the US government sifts through the tweets US citizens are making and analyzing information from illegal means, there are decisions about particular citizens being made to justify the construction of an all-encompassing Big Brother network.
Cloud computing is also under surveillance, as every conversation is recording and filed. While Microsoft denies this is true, the adherence to their rules and regulations explains that all your personal information is stored within Skype. In section 2 of their user contract explains:
Our primary purpose in collecting information is to provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. In a startling article published on the Northeast Intelligence Network, Douglas J. Hagmann is reporting that an inside source from the Department of Homeland Security has revealed to him that a false flag attack, planned by the White House, is set to go hot.
Hagmann, who in the past received widespread attention after a series of articles about DHS prepping for civil war (based on radio interviews he conducted) went ultra viral, is reporting that this same source is now claiming that elements of the Obama White House have given the go signal in regards to an upcoming attack.
“According to my well-placed source within the DHS apparatus, what amounts to a final authorization was reportedly given to DHS directly from the White House. A “go signal” if you will,” wrote Hagmann.
Hagmann then went on to directly quote the apparent well placed source with DHS itself.
“It’s going hot. The plan, or whatever specific operation that was devised, is going hot, being put into motion.
You’ve got to let people know that something is up, approval has been given, and unless somebody stops it, we’re going to have a staged event inside the U.S., and it’s being set up so that it gets real ugly real fast.”
The source then went on to speak about a Tennessee representative who sent out an email with a third hand version of the original DHS prepping for martial law article and how this could have been done on purpose to discredit the information. Continue Reading
Documents reveal that The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has ordered over 1,400 pounds of super high-powered explosives through the (TSA) Transportation Safety Administration set to be delivered on August 31st. The news comes just after it was reported that the DHS had purchased over 1.2 billion rounds of hollow point bullets and a wide assortment of riot gear. The new explosives purchase, as highlighted by mainstream news service Government Security News, consists of 1,400 pounds worth of high density ammonium nitrate and A-5 Flake RDX explosives.
According to an explosive materials manual, both of these items are considered ‘high powered’ explosives. High density ammonium nitrate in particular is used in certain types of dynamite.
In case you doubt the validity of the mainstream news report, you can actually locate the purchase statements on the official government website. If you prefer to see the purchase statements specifically, you can view them here (link downloads the document to your PC). Here is an excerpt from the purchase order:
The CES requires the 700 pounds of High Density Ammonium Nitrate and 700 pounds of A-5 Flake RDX to provide Canine Explosive Training Aids (CETAs) to NCP participants. The supplier must be able to meet the exact requirements by August 31st, 2012. Substitutions for this product are not acceptable.
The recent bulk acquisition of bullets, explosives, and war-ready protective gear has been written off by the mainstream media as nothing more than a bare necessity for training. Of course the amount of hollow point bullets, which happen to be military-grade and in sufficient enough quantity to allocate 4 bullets per American citizen, also happen to be several times the ‘normal’ amount of training-related orders put in by government agencies.
The TSA will likely write this purchase off in a similar manner, however it is important to note that this is the same agency that has not only ignored research published as far back as 1998highlighting the link between their x-ray machines and cancer, but has been caught telling children that sexually groping them is a ‘game’.
