This interview is the first face to face sit down in months with our longtime D.C. political operative we have come to simply call “Insider”. They offer up a unique perspective and insight based upon their decades-long experience as a D.C. insider working within the highest levels of government – including helping to elect Barack Obama in 2008. Here now are the words of Insider, unedited and published in their entirety per their request. This is part one of the interview. WARNING: Adult Content
Ulsterman: It’s been a while hasn’t it? Face to face that is.
Insider: Yes it has. Been busy. Tired. Loving it though. I really do love this. All of this. Gonna miss it. And we have made so much progress. Incredible progress.
Ulsterman: How so? Eric Holder remains at the DOJ. Barack Obama remains president.
Insider: Really? That’s how you put it to me? Holder is at the DOJ – for now. For now, right? Open your eyes. Holder is getting absolutely slammed at every turn. We got people in Congress calling for full investigations now. Calling for Holder to step down. Calling for fucking justice! You didn’t see that last year. You didn’t see that before we started all of this. Something like that doesn’t happen in days or weeks, or even a month or two. It takes fucking time. Who else pointed to the DOJ and said THERE IS THE SCANDAL. Who else? Nobody but me. I gave you that. On a fucking platter I gave you that. So don’t come here now on my invite and point at me and say there hasn’t been any progress. ERIC HOLDER IS GOING DOWN. Ok? It’s happening. Right before our fucking eyes. And like I’ve always told you, Holder is the Obama firewall. Holder is the stop-gap to everything. Every fucking thing. You head up the DOJ you can pretty much stamp out 99% of anything coming at a president. Do you understand that? I know—
Ulsterman:(Interrupts) …I understand what you’ve told me. You were right on about the DOJ. I’ll give you that, deservedly so. And you’re also right, at least from what I can recall, that nobody was honing in on a DOJ scandal before you were. And that’s where we are at now – a significant DOJ scandal. But after months of the scandal first breaking, Eric Holder remains the Attorney General. And the Gunrunner story seems stalled. And I worry it’s gonna go away. Just like the New Black Panther case did. Continue Reading

NIA hasn’t written about the whole debt ceiling issue over the past few weeks because in our minds it is completely irrelevant. Our elected representatives in Washington along with the mainstream media have been wasting thousands of hours of time and hundreds of millions of dollars debating a topic that has no meaning at all. The President, Senate, and House of Representatives are putting on a show to make it look like they care about cutting spending and balancing the budget. Except for a select few elected representatives like Ron Paul who care about protecting the U.S. Constitution and preserving what little purchasing power the U.S. dollar still has left, every other politician in Washington is putting on a complete charade in order to trick their constituents into believing there is a difference between the proposals from the Republicans and Democrats. President Obama has ripped up the US constitution for Nato’s ill-considered Libyan adventure. Congress must restore sense.
By Dennis Kucinich
This week, I am sponsoring legislation in the United States Congressthat will end US military involvement in Libya for the following reasons:
First, the war is illegal under the United States constitution and our War Powers Act, because only the US Congress has the authority to declare war and the president has been unable to show that the US faced an imminent threat from Libya. The president even ignored his top legal advisers at the Pentagon and the department of justice who insisted he needed congressional approval before bombing Libya.
Second, the war has reached a stalemate and is unwinnable without the deployment of Nato ground troops, effectively an invasion of Libya. Thewhole operation was terribly ill-considered from the beginning. While Nato supports the Benghazi-based opposition (situated in the oil-rich north-east), there is little evidence that the opposition has support of the majority of Libyans. The leading opposition group, the National Front for the Salvation of Libya (which had reportedly been backed by the CIA in the 1980s), should never have launched an armed civil war against the government if they had no chance absent a massive Nato air campaign and the introduction of Nato troops. Their reckless actions, encouraged by western political, military and intelligence interests, created the humanitarian crisis that was then used to justify the Nato war campaign. Continue Reading

Ronald Reagan is in the news again, this time in connection with a statue the British have erected in his honor, but actually for services rendered to the financial system of usury which Britain helped to perfect in the eighteenth century, with the ascendance of the Bank of England and London’s own version of Wall Street, the financial district known as The City.
How could super-conservative Reagan, the alleged paladin of Christian Civilization, have merited laurels from the utopia of usurers? Reagan’s free trade doctrine and open borders disguised as the 1986 Simpson-Mazzoli Act, which granted amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, neutralized authentic conservative Christian principles and policy initiatives in the decade of the 1980s. Reagan became the agent of the Money-Power, justified by his image as poster boy for anti-communism.
Americans have a bad habit of adoring their executioners while turning a cold shoulder toward their statesmen. In the latter case we are reminded of Dwight Eisenhower, who is only taken out of mothballs nowadays when there is a World War II commemoration. His eight years as President of the United States during the fabulous Fifties are as obscure as the hula-hoop.
Eisenhower’s finest hour was the Suez Canal crisis, when he faced down Britain, the Israelis and their lobby in the U.S.
Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir declared Reagan to be the greatest friend of “Israel” ever to occupy the presidency. He could not say the same about Dwight David Eisenhower. Ike headed a Republican Party which for most of the twentieth century, until 1968, had been the party of peace and non-intervention. Continue Reading

Thank goodness the Casey Anthony case is over! The jury thinks she is not guilty of murder. I don’t know if they got right or wrong, but I do know many dollars and much air time was devoted to a story that will have zero effect on the lives of 99.999% of Americans. I think the discovery of a walking, talking Martian would have gotten about the same attention. I guess this stuff sells newspapers and gets TV ratings but is sure not what U.S. citizens should be focused on. Maybe that’s the point. Are stories like Casey Anthony just our version of a Roman Circus? Are the masses being kept preoccupied with events that have no bearing on their lives while the country burns in a cloud of debt? I think so.
Most people have no idea of the perilous position the U.S. is in. One wrong move by our government or even a government the size of Greece, Portugal, Spain or Italy, and there could be a daisy chain of debt explosions around the globe. The people are in the dark, and I blame the mainstream media (MSM.) A story that should have people really terrified is the battle going on in Washington D.C. over raising the debt ceiling some $2.4 trillion dollars. If the issue is not settled by early August, the U.S. could have the mother of all debt defaults. The Democrats and Republicans cannot agree on a package that contains both tax increases and budget cuts. President Obama has called for a “balanced approach.” Bloomberg reported yesterday, “The Obama administration and congressional leaders are working to complete a deal on a long-term budget reduction package by July 22 as part of a plan to raise the $14.3 trillion debt limit. The Treasury Department has said that its borrowing authority expires Aug. 2 and could result in a first-ever U.S. default on its obligations. Obama’s comments came as Democrats were intensifying a showdown with Republicans over whether tax increases should be part of a deficit-cutting deal before the Aug. 2 deadline.” (Click here for the complete Bloomberg report.) (CNN) – Saying it is “unfair for Florida taxpayers to subsidize drug addiction,” Gov. Rick Scott on Tuesday signed legislation requiring adults applying for welfare assistance to undergo drug screening.
“It’s the right thing for taxpayers,” Scott said after signing the measure. “It’s the right thing for citizens of this state that need public assistance. We don’t want to waste tax dollars. And also, we want to give people an incentive to not use drugs.”
Under the law, which takes effect on July 1, the Florida Department of Children and Family Services will be required to conduct the drug tests on adults applying to the federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program. The aid recipients would be responsible for the cost of the screening, which they would recoup in their assistance if they qualify. Those who fail the required drug testing may designate another individual to receive the benefits on behalf of their children. Continue Reading
